I’ve got magnolia 4.1 setup on a windows 2003 box under tomcat server 5.5. I have the magnoliaPublic folder renamed to ROOT and I am unable to activate content to it. Every time I do I get the following error message:

Can't activate: : info.magnolia.cms.exchange.ExchangeException: 1 error detected:

Simple exchange transport failed: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect on magnoliaPublic8080

This works running under the tomcat exe that ships with magnolia 4.1 but it fails when run under tomcat as a service. What am I missing?

Has anyone tried to implement canonical tags in their templates?
