Can somebody test compilation of OpenTTD?

Hi all,

I'm the maintainer of the OpenTTD package and I've been facing a build failure
on the Hurd platform [1]. Upstream has proposed a fix, but I've been unable to
properly test it. I've uploaded a version with the fix to experimental in the
hopes that there would be a hurd buildd for experimental, but apparently there
is none.

Can anyone have a go at compiling openttd on hurd and see if it runs? You
should be able to grab the 0.7.3-2 source package from experimental or [2].

Thanks!

Matthijs

Actually there is but with the move to buildd.debian.org and the current
ftp-master mess, it's currently down :/

It fails very early:

detecting OS... none detected

Note that since you're a DD, you already have access to the porter box:
strauss.debian.net

Thanks for porting to the Hurd!
Samuel

Ah, right. Since it didn't show up at [1], I thought there was none.

D'oh! I've added a patch, but forgot to add it to the 00list file... Would you
be so kind as to try the updated version I've attached?

Nope, I'm only Debian Maintainer, so that won't apply AFAIK.

Thanks for testing my patches! :-)

04-compile-on-hurd doesn't apply due to missing heading directory, but
after fixing that it builds fine indeed.

Oh?  Isn't the matthijs account on alioth yours?

If you have an alioth account it's very easy for us to provide you with
access to strauss.

Thanks!

Nope, different matthijs :-p

I'm matthijs-guest there. Could you arrange access? There's an SSH key in my
Alioth account, not sure if that's enough?

Gr.
