Hello, I was so glad to find your email on the net offering help for the visitors for shopping in Guanzghou.
 
I will be coming to Guanzghou from Hong Kong on 15th July..mainly to shop for my new small house; furniture and everything..my first question, is any of the following hotels near the shopping areas>
1    Dongfang Hotel
2    Shangrila
3    Grand Hyatt
4    Ritz Carlton
 
or do you recommend another 5 star hotel near the best shopping areas?
 
how long is it from Hong Kong to Guangzhou? what shall i take a shuttle or what? i will be coming exactly from DisneyLand.

The following hotels are near Guangzhou East Railway station and Teemall, the high end shopping center. There are two furniture shopping center near this area, IKEA(near Guangzhou East Railway station)  and LandBond Furniture center (near Time Square).

The Westin Guangzhou - Guangzhou
 
There’s another furniture center called Jisheng Wellborn in Panyu district, the suburb of Guangzhou.

As to the hotels you mentioned,  near  Dongfang Hotel , there are garment wholesale markets and metro station, while Shangrila  is not near city center.
