Cannot get base font from micross.ttf

I am having trouble creating a a base font for 'Microsoft Sans Serif'
(micross.ttf)

BaseFont bf = BaseFont.CreateFont(m_FontFolder + "\\micross.ttf",
BaseFont.CP1252, BaseFont.NOT_EMBEDDED);

I can create other fonts from but when I try this I get the error:

C:\\Windows\\system32\\Fonts\\micross.ttf not found as file or resource.

even though it IS there.
