Canon off-Camera shoe cord 2

Dear Group: does anyone know for a fact that the new cord 3 will work on my Canon Speedlite 380EX and a Canon Eos Elan?
To no avail, I have not been able to find the shoe cord 2 - no one seems to carry it anymore.
