Hi,

I noticed that searching files using the search widget is case sensitive. Would it make sense that it is case insensitive?

-prakash
ps: hope this is not a repost, my first & second attempt did not go through.

What operating system you are using? What "File Name Matches" option is
selected in the preferences, "User Interface" page?

Hi Prakash,

The by default selected Smart Uppercase option treats upper case entered
characters differently than lowercase characters: you can, for example, type
MW to select MainWindow.java.

What characters did you enter and what file name you've tried to match?

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, I havent been checking this mailbox for a while.

anyway,
Our developement environment is CPP and not Java.

Class name is ThisIsAFooClass and the file name is thisisafooclass.cpp

I typed, actually copy pasted the class name into the search box.

Not sure how many people enters search string as MW for MainWindow.

I would hope that the smart search would do case insensitive search and also smart search and show the result of both.

-prakash

We will change the default option to case-insensitive search.
