Hi everybody,

the Linux Magazin is looking for free software projects for CeBIT 2010. Call
for projects ends November 20th. If nobody steps up in the next five days, I'll
go for the organization again.

Can we have some details on this?  Is there a web page with criteria that the
projects should fulfil or any other details?

KOffice may very well be interested in this.  At that point we will have just
released or are about to release our end user ready version, and some
publicity would be very welcome.

There is a website in german only: http://www.linux-magazin.de/Events/Call-
for-Projects-CeBIT-Open-Source-2010

Rough translation:

Prerequisites:
- the project should demonstrate its contents and goals to interested visitors
in an informative and catchy way
- it should have a clear understanding of how to get the contents sacross
- the booth has to be manned all the time by project members who observingly
approach visitors
- the booth has to be built up and equipped all the time beginning with the
opening
- the project should reference the attendance in its own community in an
adequate way
- the project should inform the general public about its attendance at CeBIT
Open Source (announcements on website, press releases)

Decision making:
An international jury appointed by Linux New Media will rate each application
according to the presented information and public sources, possibly with
additional interviews. Therefore, it's important that the application names
contact persons and optionally additional persons responsible for the project.

Criteria for project selection:
- only non-commercial project with strong relations to linux or open source
are sponsored
- vitality and activity of the project community play an important role
- project should be related to subjects of interest to commercial enterprise
- project should be innovative and novel
- project has to satisfactorily show that it can attend the fair with enough
persons during the entire time
