Gentlemen,
Just installed mailgraph, and after a few hours messing around and following
various howto's and anecdotal references within mailing lists, got the graph
axes to display, and apache error logs producing no output.
That's fine except there is no graphed data.
Given that this is CentOS, I can't point mailgraph-init at syslog, such
doesn't exist under CentOS apparently, so it needs to look at
/var/log/maillog.
There are no errors generated anywhere (yay!), but no data either. I've
restarted apache *and* mailgraph itself of course, but the graphs are still
empty. This is a fairly busy mail server doing 1500 - 2500 messages an hour,
so there's no issues in that it needs to wait some hours before getting
data.
This is:
CentOS 4
Mailgraph 1.14
RRDTool 1.2.23
Various CPAN modules are installed as described (rather helpfully) here:
http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2004/08/12/mailgraph.htmlThe only difference between what's described in the howto and local
conditions, is that rrdtool was installed from yum repositories, rather than
downloaded and manually compiled.
the .rrd files exist, and even symlinked into /var/www just to be absolutely
sure that everything can be read by apache
I'm wondering whether some image handler or other needs to be installed.
This is a fairly stripped down CentOS installation, so it wouldn't be
surprising to learn that some additional applications require installation,
question is - which apps?
Ideas and suggestions are sorely needed before starting the fight with
queuegraph.
Regards & TIA,
-Colin
