Changing The Display: Framebuffer

[Irena & Richard Jenkins]

My G4 with aty128 video card defaults to the framebuffer display for KDE.  
Worse than that is that it chooses 800 by 600 display ... when it's easily
capable of 1024 by 768.  Can you please suggest some post installation tweaks
to get the display I want every time?  Thank you.

Not sure why that is.  Have you tried editing your X config with SaX2?
 That should fix the problem.
