Chaotic Printable Demo Online

This is a little hobby project that I've been working on since they announced that Chaotic was expected to be out in October. At that time it looked like a really long wait, and I needed something to pass the time (plus, maybe it'll help get some demo tournaments going, or at least get people playing more). Chaotic Printable Demo Online (CPDO, for short) is a module for the Vassal Engine. A module is sort of like a virtual box that contains all of the pieces and stuff you'd need to play a particular game (in this case, the Chaotic demo they released back in...was it August?), and the Vassal engine itself is like a virtual card table that lets you play with those pieces with anyone over the Internet. In short, CPDO lets you play the Chaotic demo online against other people without the use of AIM.

After downloading the .zip file and unzipping it to wherever it is you want it on your system, please be sure to go in and double click the README.html file. This is the instruction manual, and you should read it all the way through before you post any questions. It should hopefully cover everything you need to know, but I will admit that I kinda grew impatient towards the end when I was writing and editing it, so the quality might be a little lower once you get near the end.

Its very well done and its such a more sophiscated way of playing than using aim. Though I have one question, is there a way to randomize the attack card/location card deck?

When you start a game, three windows should pop up, and one of those should be the Hand window.

I was fooling around with the game by myself for abit and I just realized that when you stack cards together in a deck, it auto shuffles them. Now thats nifty

That's great! When I was writing the instructions, I didn't want to sound like I was talking down to everybody, but at the same time I wanted to make them clear enough so people could get everything working without having to ask too many questions.

Yeah, I neglected to mention that, I think. Of course, that poses some troubles when it comes to cards like Flash Kick or Squeeze Play, which involve stacking the deck in some way, but I'm pretty sure I covered how to get around that in the manual.

i downlaoded it a while ago before i knew wht it was and that picture is not what it looked like, what is that picture of because its not of the printable demo cards?
