Chaotic Promo Deck w/ no codes

I was at a convention for my company in Fall 2007 and Chaotic was there showing off the new game.  I got a sealed envelope from them and never really looked at it untill today.  Inside were what appear to be two starter decks, factory sealed in plastic wrap.  After some investigation I found that all Chaotic cards have a unique code on them on the bottom of the card.  All the cards, I assume, do not have any codes, rather they have the words "CHAOTICGAME.COM" where one would find the codes.  Also included in the envelope are "Rules" printed on plain paper and stapled together, a DVD labeled "CHAOTIC TCG DEMO" ,  two playing mats (one blue and the other red), and some other promotional papers about the game.  I just read that included in thestarter decks are "Master upload cards".  Is this why there are no codes on the cards themself?  If so, then my post is pretty lame as I was wondering if I had a really rare item or now I guess just a very common set of two starter decks.  LOL.

I have 4 or 6 of thoes decks laying around somewhere myself. What you have is a promotional pack sent out to comic and hobby stores and probably dealers/distributers. I would imagine a 'die hard' fan may want them just to have them but for the most part it's all about being able to upload your cards, so I don't think they are as desirable to the common fan (since they don't have codes on them). The decks were also given out out at various cons so they were avalible on eBay when they first came out (and still show up every now and then). So before the game came out they seemed to be somewhat common, but now, like I said it's all about being able to upload them codes. Normal Starter deck cards do have codes on them as well as a Master Upload Card that will enter all your cards codes by typing in just that 1 code. If you are looking to maybe get rid of them I would offer them with the other promotional material which is actually less common since it was not handed out at the cons.

I would like to post pics of all the items included.  I remember that when the guy gave me the pack his boss got really pissed and told him not to give any more out.  What do you think would be reasonable for a price on this stuff ... I will upload the pics asap.

I see just the decks themselves sometimes on eBay in the $5-$10 range. I have seen auctions in the past with the other promo stuff, but don't really know what it sold for.

Cool thanks for the info.  Here is a pic of all the items I got with the original packaging.  Like you said only a hardcore fan would want this stuff so I will probably keep it for now.
