Chaotic Tamers Adventure: My take at a Chaotic/Tamers combo fanfiction

Okay, wrote this a while ago. Me and Worlder both thought that Chaotic paralleled with Digimon. Lot's of simmilarities and especially for Tamers- since they actually had cards.

Anyway so 2 seperate fanfictions were in the works... here's mine.

"YOU'VE GOT MAIL!". Takato opened his email window, to find a message from Yamaki.

Takato, you may have noticed that Digimon is coming off your screens. And all the cards are "sold out", and even your D-Powers aren't working. They only let you input text.

Well Hypnos is being shut down. The Digital World was bought by some Danish company; Dracco and then sold to some American Fox-affiliate. They are developing a new game.

I'm afraid that I've been made redundant. I can't help you, but  the company have given me  some  tickets, to be beta testers for the game. They'd be interested in you playing it.

Your Password information will be emailed to each of you Tamers, as long as you are over seven you can play.

Yeah, and Henry was right. It was Chaotic.

Takato had been waiting over a month for this email, fortunately for them there hadn't been any attacks in that time. However, Takato was still missing Guilmon, and so were the other Tamers. They were all missing their Digimon partners.

Takato picked up his phone, and called Henry.
'Henry, Finally got a message from Yamaki.'
'So did he say where they were? Susie's been crying for Lopmon for ages.'
'Emm...Are you online, right now?'
'Yeah, why?' Henry asked, surprised
'I'll forward the email. Yamaki said that he's been made redundant,'
'You, what? Really? Why don't they need Hypnos.'
'Well read the email, and forward it to Rika, and Kazu, Kenta and Jeri, and we'll meet up at the the park in half-an hour. Call them.'

'Okay, so let's get this straight,' said Rika. 'They've closed Hypnos, and now he's giving us tickets for some stupid game?'
'And our D-Powers aren't working, let's try the codes.' said Takato.
'But, we don't know. They could brake the scanners. They might not work. The power in the code; it could damage the scanner.' said Henry.
'Yeah, I don't trust Yamaki' said Rika.
'Well there's only one way to find out,' said Jeri.
'I'll test it. I mean there's no need for my scanner any more. I'll do it.'
'Are you sure?'  said Rika, 'It's your memory of Leomon.'
'Well we've got to do something. I've lost my partner, but that doesn't mean we should lose all the other Digimon. It's the only way to find out.'

Jeri took out her yellow D-Power digivice and entered her password. Suddenly it glowed, and was absorbed in an orb of yellow light. It floated out of Jeri's hand and was so absorbed in the light that you couldn't see it. They heard seven notes, and it floated back. There in her hand was a new device, her D-Power had changed.

"Woah." said Kazu "What just happened to your D-Power?"
"Yeah, it looks so much cooler. I'm entering my code." added Kenta
"Me too!" Kazu replied, as they both typed in the codes.

"Wait!" said Jeri. " It's not working."
But it was too late, the boys had already entered their codes.
There were flashes of orange and brown light, and the two devices changed.



"I knew Yamaki would trick us into this." said Rika.

"That f******g b*****d." said Jeri angrily.
The others looked at her, surprised. They'd never seen her swearing before.
"That was my final memory of Leomon."

Meanwhile in Chaotic.
"Hello. Guys, where are you." shouted Jeri
"It's not funny. Where are you?"
She was in a purple and white room, with massive lights and big monitors.  It was empty, and she was scared. What had just happened?

Kenta and Kazu then appeared.
"Why did you leave me?" said Jeri.
"We didn't." said Kazu."
"Where did everybody go?" asked Kenta.
"The digivices must have transported us here." said Kazu.
"Maybe if we just press this button..."

And Kazu materialized back to Guilmon's cave where the rest where standing, including Jeri and Kenta.
He remembered standing there, but also being in the room.

"Wait." spoke Kazu, but he went quite. For once he didn't know quite what to say.  
"What?" Rika replied  looking back from her I-told'ya-so-face at Jeri.
"Emm...well. It's just that my D-Power's working now, and I think I was in this big room."
"Oh great!" said Rika. "Jeri's gone emo, and your going psycho."
"But, it's true." said Kenta. Unkown to the rest, he and Jeri and just come back from the Room.
"It's like we were split in two. We went to this other world and when we came back, we remembered everything."
"But you were here, all along." said Takato.
"I think we were here and there." said Kazu.
"If you know what I mean. I can remember what happened here, but at the same time being in this big room."
"It's true, I was there too." said Jeri.
"Hmm...I heard about something like this, it was on a video-stream, for an episode of Chaotic. Dual-Psych Projection."
"What?" said Rika. "Elaborate. In English, please."

"Well it was the two-parter premier episode of Chaotic. Welcome to Chaotic. Had to hack into the 4Kids VoD, because it's not been released in Japan.
"Anyway, there was this guy called Tom. He had a Scanner-- it looked a bit like  what Kazu, Jeri and Kenta's D-Powers now look like. It was like a handy way for him to store his cards. He received a code-- like us-- and when he entered it his mind split into two. Like he was at home and at Chaotic.
"He thought that he had broken his scanner, and threw it away; but it turned out that the scanner was in-fact working fine with him at Chaotic.
"And cutting a long story short, when he returned home, he remembered both sets of memory; and it seems the same must have happened to Kazu, Kenta and Jeri. Kazu also said that his scanner works now, what about you, Jeri and Kenta?"
"No." said Jeri.
"Me neither." said Kenta.
"So what's happening on yours, Kazu?" asked Takato.
"It says Alert: Scannable Creature."
"Wait. That's a silhouette of Guardromon, isn't it. Maybe he's nearby."
"He must be at Chaotic, because he's not here. I checked everywhere for him." replied Kazu.
"Well if it means finding Guilomon, I'm willing to risk my D-Power." said Takato.
"Me too." said Henry. "Terriermon needs me."
"You in, Rika?" asked Takato.
"Have you all gone completley mad? It's a TV show."
"So was Digimon, remember?" said Henry.
"OK, whatever." Rena, we're coming for you."
"Okay, so you three should port there now." said Takato, while pointing at Kazu, Kenta and Jeri.

Takato, Henry and Rika, the three tamers, entered there codes. With flashes of red,green and blue light, there D-Powers disappeared and in their place stood three scanners.




An then the three ported to Chaotic...

Chapter 3 // He's Yellow



"Okay, okay."said Rika "So either I was wrong or am strangely hallucinating; but we've got to find Renamon and Guardromon."
"Maybe we should call Henry or Takato; check if they've found anything."

They hadn't yet registered for Chaotic, and didn't know how; so the Tamers-- the ones who had working scanners-- could only use limited functions on their scanners.

Only Takato, Rika, Henry and Kazu's scanners were working; so hey had all split into groups of atleast one working scanner-owner. There was Takato and Jeri; Henry and Kenta; and Rika and Kazu.

Rika called Henry and Takato; thankfully the scanner allowed multi-user voice chat.
"Henry, are you there?" Rika spoke with frustration.
"Yeah, I'm here. Have you found anyone? Or anything that could help us? We haven't." replied the voice on the phone.
"No, not yet. Takato, are you there too?"
There was no reply.
"That's weird. What do you think their doing?" asked Henry
"No... Really? They can't be, I mean I know Takato had a crush on Jeri, but he's not gonna go snogging her when he's meant to be looking for Guilmon."
"Nah, probably confronted a creature, in a fight. We'll look for them they might need our help.

"Takato." Jeri said, a bit louder than her usual voice.
"What is it Jeri?" asked the boy
"Emm... I think you left your D-Pow--, I mean Scanner off.
"Heh." Takato smiled, in embarrassment, and switched on the scanner.
"Wait, Isn't that Ryo?" she pointed the way.
"Probably, who else would be stuck on this world?"
"Emm.. Us."
"Well anyway, we better follow him, he lived in the digital world, so he'd know something about what happened to the Digimon, and why they are here."

"Come on Kazu, we gotta find them." said Rika, rushing through the land
"But, we've looked everywhere. Where on Earth-- Perim could they be?" asked Kazu, rhetorically, a little bit behind the pineapple-headed girl.
"I don't think we've tried this corner here, why did I have to be stuck with such a dweeb?"
"Hey, don't call me that."

"Kenta, sorry I don't know why your scanner isn't working?" said Henry
"I can understand Jeri's, because of what happened to Leomon."
"What, you mean maybe MarineAngemon had an accident. He died, he couldn't have" Kenta replied.
"No, there could be other explanations. Chaotic's a new game, maybe they've not implemented MarineAngemon's data."
"Hey it's Takato, and Jeri. Over there."Kenta pointed in the distance at his friends.
"Come on then, maybe they're running after something important." and before Henry had finished, the two boys were rushing to Takato and Jeri.

"Hey, it's Guilmon. There, really. Over there." said Kazu
"What, quick we need to get him." replied Rika, rushing her words.
"We'll have to scan him, but as we aren't players yet, so we only get one scan."
"But, he's Takato's creature. You can't just add him to your deck.
"We'll just have to trade, we'll solve that out later. Now I need a good scan."
"Wait a sec, why's he yellow?"

TAKATO! JERI!" shouted Henry. He was running after the two, with Kenta.
Takato and Jeri looked back.
"Sorry. Didn't notice you,"replied Takato. "We think we just found Ryo."
Henry looked in the direction they were heading, sure enough Ryo was there, but now he was walking towards them.

"Yep, that is weird. A yellow Guilmon, never heard of that before,"said Kazu.
"Okay I'm going in for the scan." continued the boy, as he held out his brown scanner.
"Wait a sec, are you sure he's the same Guilmon?"interrupted Rika.
"Dunno, only one way to find out, but we might scare him away."
"Scare away Guilmon?" Rika snorted. "Like that's ever gonna happen."
"Guilmon." they both called in unison.

The yellow lizard looked back, a little startled.
"Rika, Kazu. Where's Takatomon?
It was the same Guilmon, but how he'd gone yellow, Rika didn't know.

"So I see you've found Perim," Ryo said to the four Tamer's standing before him.
"This is the world of creatures, battlegear and mugic. Mystery and magic, conflict and civilisation."
"Yeah, yeah we already know all that, but where's Terriermon, and the rest?" asked Henry, interrupted the Legendary Tamer's monoluge.
"We've been looking for them for ages, Yamaki's no help." added Takato.
"Yamaki," snorted Ryo.
"What a pain he was. I had to fire him, first chance I got."
Everybody was surprised. They had all disliked Yamaki, even if they didn't show it. It was true that he could be a right pain in the arse even when he did know what was going on, but they hadn't expected this.
"Why don't we go back to the PortCourt, in Chaotic? Just push that button." he pointed at a button on his dark blue scanner, and pressed it.

Chapter 5 might be called How To Solve A Problem Like Yamaki, unless I think of something else...
