CiviMail tokens - getting CMS usernameIs there a way to access the CMS (Joomla) username as a mail merge token in CiviCRM? I'm guessing no based on the token documentation, but perhaps I could be pointed in the right direction on how this might be accomplished, or maybe enlightened as to how foolish the idea might be. Thanks.

Joomla-DB toggle?Hey folks, quick update and question. I ended up taking the advise of a couple
of you and went with Network Redux to replace the crooks at SiteGround. They
charge a little more, but are very helpful on the VPS support. They certainly
don’t steal like the crooks ($90/mo + setup fees for an underpowered
single IP VPS?). Thanks for the suggestion! I used the clean dump from Open Social
back end of year as my baseline, and everything worked. I then took a full DB
export and imported it back into the VPS site, and CiviCRM died. That tells me
the el crooko’s must have flipped some toggle in the Joomla 1.0x part of
the DB which turned off the connection to CiviCRM. Anyone have any idea what
and where that toggle could be? I’m assuming a Boolean or other simple DB
field I can change back in phpmyadmin if I just knew what it was. I was
flipping around the documentation, but no dice to date. Or would doing the upgrade from the 1.6.x
version of CRM presently there do this by default as I run the DB script upgrades? Thanks! 1.9 upgrade instructions don't workFolks, Any suggestions on where to take the
following? The message boards? I’m trying to run an upgrade, per
instructions at http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Upgrading+Joomla%21+Sites+to+1.9
They don’t work. I uploaded the
unzipped com_civicrm directory from the correct zip download to the home. Followed
all the steps. I point the “Install from Directory” to the location
“home/aramisdc/com_civicrm”. Nothing. Throws an error… Another component is already using
directory: "/home/aramisdc/public_html/components/com_civicrm/" However, as I noted there is no CiviCRM in
the components list since the crooks at siteground bait and switched me. I’m
guessing they did some non-standard hacking to insure I was trapped, much in
the same way they disable the cpanel backup utility. Any help/suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks, John ____________________________________________________________ You received this message as a subscriber on the list: civicrm-dev@... Re: 1.9 upgrade instructions don't workJohn - definitely search the forum and google in general for this
error message. If you don't find an answer, post your details to the forum (and pls consider upgrading to 2.0 which is the current stable release). dave On Mon, Mar 24, 2008 at 5:37 AM, John Nowicki <aramis@...> wrote: > > > > > Folks, > > > > Any suggestions on where to take the following?
