Re: ColdFusion SMECould be lots of things, including Sloppy Meateaters (band) or Sausage McMuffin with Egg: http://www.acronymfinder.com/SME.html Although I suspect Pranathi's guess that it means Subject Matter Expert is correct. Re: ColdFusion SMEI've also heard PHP developers use it as slang to refer to someone that develops with ColdFusion. PHP developer 1: "Hey guys, this is my friend Karl. He's some kind of ColdFusion SME." PHP developer 2: "So what does the SME stand for?" PHP developer 1: "Super man equivalent. Like, he develops apps about as fast as 7 or 8 of us working together at the same time." PHP developer 2: "Eff my life." Re: ColdFusion SMEAlright.. too many guessing and thats for all for the response. I really dont know which one would be right.. Let me quote you where it was used and how it was used... May be this can help us to guess the right one... One of my friends were applying for Coldfusion position and a person told her that they should need a 'Coldfusion SME candidate that are local to Alabama' . Those were the exacty quote in the brackets... I am assuming may be he is looking for a person who is expertise in Coldfusion... is that right? Re: ColdFusion SMEProbably Subject Matter Expert, but at the end of the day it is real easy to find out. Just ask the person that said it. :) Adam On Thu, Jul 9, 2009 at 12:21 AM, Pranathi Reddy <rk.pranathi@...>wrote: > > Alright.. too many guessing and thats for all for the response. Re: ColdFusion SMEWhen I worked for Microsoft in Seattle, WA, I was called a SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test). Basically, Beta Tester. It was Microsofts own language. Other companies in the area would advertise "SDET" as well. They weren't Microsoft, but those who were knowledgeable in the field in that area knew what it was. It's possible that SME means something special in that area of the country and no where else. Just sayin.
