Come follow us on TwitterHey all,
We now have a Twitter feed up, if you want to follow minor updates and the like. We're @musicbrainz - oddly enough :) This is going to be a joint account, so if you want access to post to the feed, drop me a message here or on IRC. -- Oliver Charles / aCiD2 _______________________________________________ MusicBrainz-users mailing list MusicBrainz-users@... http://lists.musicbrainz.org/mailman/listinfo/musicbrainz-users |

Have you considered using identi.ca (or any other site which supports the OpenMicroBlogging protocol) ? It seems a shame for an open/free project like musicbrainz to use closed network service when there are superior alternatives available. The OpenMicroBlogging protocol allows users to follow users on different sites, so you can even run your own copy and still follow and respond to users on http://identi.ca, http://openmicroblogger.org, etc... Whereas twitter more-or-less locks you into using their site or api, with relatively little control over your data. -- kuno / warp. _______________________________________________ MusicBrainz-users mailing list MusicBrainz-users@... http://lists.musicbrainz.org/mailman/listinfo/musicbrainz-users |

I would appreciate that, yes. Just curious,... If I understand correctly the idea is for MB developers who are interested on reporting on their progress to be able to post to a single account on twitter. How is this accomplished? -- kuno / warp. _______________________________________________ MusicBrainz-users mailing list MusicBrainz-users@... http://lists.musicbrainz.org/mailman/listinfo/musicbrainz-users |

At the moment, we're just account sharing - and seeing as only a few of us (me :P) microblog, I think this will work for the time being. Hopefully we can connect with a few more people and attract more editors too :) Oh yea, for those who haven't found MB yet on microblogging sites: http://identi.ca/musicbrainz http://twitter.com/musicbrainz -- Oliver Charles / aCiD2 _______________________________________________ MusicBrainz-users mailing list MusicBrainz-users@... http://lists.musicbrainz.org/mailman/listinfo/musicbrainz-users |
