Commerce as Download shop

Hi again,

This question was asked at least once in last March (as far as I see on
this list), but it hasn't been answered yet: Is commerce also useable as
a download shop? If so, can anybody give me hint on how to do that?

Hi Robert,

I haven't read about it anywhere but I'm sure that with the use of
(perhaps) some hooks and an extra extension you can make it work.

You can create a script that serves the files for download. Files are
only served when there is an order id, that matches with the document.
Or something like that. Just be a little creative.

A long time ago i wrote such a extension.
I published it today in ter. The extension name is: imux_buydocuments.
Hopefully it's usefull for you.

Wow - great! I actually saw it already sometime this Friday. I have a
look into it!
Do you intend to develop it further? I ask since you write "a long time
ago"... would be great. Being a musician I would like to do sth with
sound libraries... ("yet another sound library"... i know I know)
