Compact Flash Ethernet Card

[Josh Koffman]

Hi all. I need a compact flash Ethernet card to try an experiment with
my PDA. I know Socket communications makes one, and it's quite nice, I
just can't justify the $120 price tag for this. Does anyone know of
something decent, yet cheaper? If anyone has a used one I might be
interested. My ideal specs would be something that will work with
Windows Mobile 6.1, and something that has a dongle style connector or
a tough looking jack.

I have a few USB Ethernet port/adaptors. I've never seen a CF one like the
below.

Very cool, I wish I had a need for one !

I have a few USB Ethernet port/adaptors. I've never seen a CF one like the
below.

Well, missed out on two auctions now. Sniping is rather annoying when
auctions end while you're at work.

You can use a sniping tool to take care of them when you're not at the  
computer. I'm sure Google can supply numerous free and for-pay options.

Or do it like a real auction, which ends if no-one enters a bid for a
certain amount of time, the "going..... going..... gone!" bit.

10-15 minutes should cover it, but where's the fun in that.  

And yes, I'm one of the "bid once, bid late" crowd, the alternative is
having some newbie up the bid in dollar increments, and they always manage
to stop *just* before they hit your maximum.

That has the effect of effectively changing the auction ending time
in an arbitrary and possibly unpredictable fashion.  And it prevents
impulse bidding (which drives up closing prices (which increases
ebay's profit)).

The onsale.com auction site used to do just that circa 5-10 years
ago.  Whenever a valid new bid was received in the last few minutes,
the auction end time was advanced ~5 minutes.  So an auction didn't
end until any "bidding war" was over.  Just like a real auction.

Onsale.com still exists but it doesn't appear to be an auction
site anymore.

I have to figure out how mailman/e-mail really gets messed up. It
