> finished translating all for squirrel. > Please find the attachment for the completed Khmer translations for squirrel > mail. > > Could you please help to commit this translation for Khmer? Khoem, Thanks very much for your contribution! We will be very pleased to add it to SquirrelMail. Some questions: There is a "squirrelmail.po.tar.gz" file inside your tarball in the squirrelmail directory, and it contains a squirrelmail.po file. How is it different than the squirrelmail.po file in the outter tarbal? Why are there two? Regarding the headers of your translations. Many of the plugin headers are inconsistent, but that's because they are inconsistent in the repository to start with, so that's not exactly your fault. ;-) However, it would be nice to tidy up the headers in the main squirrelmail.po file. Please see the Swedish one under sv_SE and compare yours to it. > I would be great if I have svn access right for maintaining the translation > in the future. We do not give translators write access to our repository, but will be happy to update your translation when needed. > The code for Khmer is km_KH. We will use just "km" unless there is a strong reason to add any region information to the code. (Please update your headers and anything else as necessary if you don't mind.) OK. As well, if you would, please provide a translated version of the image file found in the main SquirrelMail images directory called sec_remove_eng.png. It can also be found in our repository: http://squirrelmail.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/squirrelmail/trunk/squirrelmail/images/sec_remove_eng.png?view=markup Finally, in your testing, what did you add to functions/i18n.php? Here is an example for Latvian. Please show what you used. $languages['lv_LV']['NAME'] = 'Latvian'; $languages['lv_LV']['ALTNAME'] = 'Latvių'; $languages['lv_LV']['CHARSET'] = 'utf-8'; $languages['lv_LV']['LOCALE'] = 'lv_LV.UTF-8'; $languages['lv']['ALIAS'] = 'lv_LV'; Note that LOCALE can contain multiple preferences in case the first isn't found, such as: $languages['sv_SE']['LOCALE'] = array('sv_SE.UTF-8','sv_SE'); > Also, want to ask When it will be in Khmer? in which release of aquireelmail? As soon as we resolve all issues, I will commit the translation and it will be supported in the next release (1.4.18), although I don't know when the next locales package release will be made, but we'll see about that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H ----- squirrelmail-i18n mailing list Posting guidelines: http://squirrelmail.org/postingguidelines Information about translations: http://squirrelmail.org/wiki/LanguageTranslation Statistics for translations: http://l10n-stats.squirrelmail.org/ List address: squirrelmail-i18n@...
