QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL AT LEAST 75%. We seek a talented candidate who knows how to get things done, and will motivate others to do the same. A breadth of creativity, travel and latitude is expected. You will work closely with our Principals to lead your team in completing high-profile, unparalleled quality projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will possess intimate knowledge of complexity and challenges surrounding at least one of the following products: McAfee Anti-virus/ePO, IntruShield, SCM, Citadel, and Foundstone, ArcSight, LogLogic, Symantec, Ounce Labs, SourceFire/SNORT, Nessus, Juniper/Netscreen, 3Com TippingPoint, and CheckPoint. Qualified candidates will lead by example, be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and experience interfacing with clients.

What will I be doing?
• Designing, advising, implementing, and integrating security products for Fortune 500 clients
• Training clients on the proper use of products, their features, and full capabilities
• Troubleshooting network problems and implements security policies and procedures.
• Conducting network and application security assessments
• Interfacing with clients from proposal through delivery
• Ensuring network security access and protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
• Configuring and testing security products
• Communicating recommendations to clients to improve existing security measures in both written and oral form.
• Preparing technical designs as well as high-level flowcharts and schematics
• Developing and maintain client loyalty
• Staff training and support where necessary
• Product installation, maintenance, and upgrading
• Researching and troubleshooting
• Routine network administration and maintenance
• Identifying and implementing improvements in existing processes and procedures.
• Coach other consultants on new products and techniques
• Responsible for managing Team’s projects from commencement to completion
• Effectively estimate the level of effort required to develop a project
• Segment tasks and delegate accordingly
• Aid in awareness of standards and best practices, as well as enforce these standards

JOB REQUIREMENTS

What do I need to have to apply?
• QUALIFIED CANDIDATES MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL AT LEAST 75%.
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• 4 year bachelor degree preferred (technical degree preferred)
• Minimum 2 years subject field experience (networking/consulting/programming/computer security)
• CISSP, MCSE, CNNA/CCIE, McAfee/Symantec, certification preferred
• Current knowledge of security threats, solutions, security tools and network technologies.
• Familiarity with a variety of security concepts, practices, and procedures.
• An understanding or proficiency in information security and compliance regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior problem-solving skills
• Experience with client interfacing situations and projects
• Knowledge and experience with security product installation and upgrades
• The ability to teach and train about network use and software skills
• Proficiency in making presentations
• Experience with network and system security preferred

WORK LOCATION FOR THIS SENIOR LEVEL LOCKHEED MARTIN ENTERPRISE SERVICES POSITION IS LIMITED TO A LOCKHEED MARTIN SITE IN EITHER DENVER, CO OR GAITHERSBURG, MD.

This malware analyst position will play a crucial role on the LM Computer Incident Response Team in the Corporate Information Security Office. The duties of this position, specifically in the Intelligence and Advanced Warning team of LM CIRT, will include, but not be limited to: malware analysis (behavioral and code-based reviews), reverse engineering (including protocol disassembly and reconstruction), and software exploitation (verifying attack vectors and testing security controls).

This position requires previous experience in C/C++, networking, and security. With guidance from other senior team members, the incumbent must successfully research emerging malware capabilities and delivery techniques and successfully integrate appropriate countermeasures and mitigations into team processes. This position will be required to successfully produce complex cohesive technical reports, and will also assist in incident handling, forensic analysis, and network monitoring. Position also requires the ability to obtain a DoD clearance, as well as strict adherence to the highest standards of ethics and professional conduct, and Full Spectrum Leadership.

Typical Minimums
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.

Required Skills
C/C++ programming expertise demonstrated through previous work experience.
TCP/IP networking and security expertise demonstrated through previous work experience. Proven knowledge of x86 assembly. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications skills. Very strong teaming and interpersonal skills illustrated through previous experience. Demonstrated technical report writing experience. Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to less senior team members.

Desired Skills
Debugging experience, RCE (reverse engineering) experience, OllyDbg, IDA Pro, fluency in x86 assembly, advanced python scripting experience, advanced perl scripting skills; Experience with Windows internals, Linux internals, software exploitation; knowledge of encryption and compression algorithms, incident handling, and forensic analysis. The Chief Security Architect identifies and champions the security standards and processes for the enterprise and develops strategies and technologies In support of enterprise security architectures. In this role, he/she must build strong relationships and partnerships with senior management within National IT as well as with the lines of businesses and other security service providers by providing security expertise on complex technology issues and education on system security direction. Serves as the lead security architect responsible for the development of an enterprise-wide Security architecture grounded in business requirements and technology strategies which include activities that involve extensive coordination of technology studies and research. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required as well as the ability to work collaboratively in our federated environment. Works in conjunction with the Chief Architect to develop and integrate security into an end-to-end enterprise architecture.

3. Partner with our customers and service providers in identifying critical architectural and infrastructure gaps and deficiencies in the security of the Information Technology environment and recommend solutions to solve business problems and security direction.
4. Partner with our lines of business in road mapping efforts to ensure strategic IT alignment to business requirements with a focus on security.
5. Oversee the evaluation and selection of hardware and software security product standards and design of standard configurations.
6. Provide consultative leadership on System projects focusing on planning, development and implementation of strategic security technology directives.
7. Perform work with high level of autonomy; assume responsibility for highly visible System projects and related actions that have a major impact on operations, strategic direction, and reflect heavily on the reputation of National IT.
8. Provide senior management and governance councils regular communications on strategic security direction.
9. Participate as a voting member of the Design Review Board (DRB) to ensure that current projects moving through the project life cycle are in alignment with security strategic direction.
10. Provide leadership in the adoption of and migration to NIST-based security architectures and standards.

Requirements

This position requires a broad range of security experience in current technologies, knowledge of enterprise scale security architectures and proven leadership. Experience in the Federal Reserve System or other highly federated environment is very desirable. Understanding of FISMA compliance requirements and the NIST Security program is required. The CISSP certification required and other security certifications desirable. Executive presence and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at the senior management and governance council level.

Bachelor’s degree or 7 - 10 yrs of equivalent work experience.
Overnight travel may average 35 percent annually to attend meetings and conferences.
