About 400Mb of disk space (which is mostly TeX). How much welly you
need depends on how big your cave is :-) I gave up with my previous
project when the therion processing + pdf rendering time exceeded 10
minutes. That was 20km of cave on a 900Mhz x86 machine. I've run
xtherion on a 200Mhz arm PDA and it works (but is pretty much too slow
to use for real work).

So almost anything will work, but for large cave systems you do need
reasonable performance to keep the editing cycle swift enough.
