The Topic Maps Research and Applications conference
=======================================================

November 11-13 this year we are arranging the fifth TMRA conference in
Leipzig, Germany on all aspects of Topic Maps. This year's conference
theme is "Linked Topic Maps", emphasizing how the linked data movement
and the Topic Maps community share a common goal.

This year's conference has a particularly strong program, starting off
with a keynote by Michael Sperberg-McQueen (co-editor of the XML
Recommendation, among other things), and closing with a keynote by
Steven R. Newcomb, the inventor of Topic Maps.

Some items from the program:

  - Creating Topic Maps Ontologies for Space Experiments

  - Integrating SAP and Sharepoint using Semantic Technologies

  - tolog updates, an update language for Topic Maps

  - Subj3ct.com - a search service for linked data identifiers

  - H-Maps: A New Approach for Efficient Graphical Visualization and
    Navigation of Topic Maps

For more information, see http://www.tmra.de/2009/

The city of Leipzig is renowned for its culture (particularly the
Gewandhausorchester Leipzig), as well as for the local beer
speciality: Gose, or Gosebier, which you can sample just 2 minutes
walk from the Villa Ida conference center.

We hope to see you in Leipzig in November!
