Configure Gridsphere to display portletHi,
I am new to GridSphere. I have followed the steps in documentation to to install and configure it. I am successful in installing and running gridsphere. The package versions that I used are: Gridsphere 3.1 tomcat 5.5.25 ant 1.7.1 I tried to run HelloWorld portlet. I followed all the steps described in http://docs.gridsphere.org/display/gs30/Hello+World+Portlet . But, I could not see the portlet in Layout tab. I have restarted the tomcat and run again, but no use. Can any one tell me here " how should I configure GridSphere to display portlet" or what should I do? For deploying I am using " ant deploy" command. Thanks in advance. -- Gandham Santhosh _______________________________________________ Gridsphere-users mailing list Gridsphere-users@... http://lists.gridsphere.org/mailman/listinfo/gridsphere-users |

Re: Configure Gridsphere to display portletHi,
you only installed the Hello World Portlet. If you want to see it, you have to add it to a tab. Login as Administrator (the account you created while installation). Go to "Layout" (in the upper right corner) There you can select the layout you want to customize. The "guest" layout is the one you see before login, the other one is "loggedin". Choose "loggedin" and press "Display". Now you should see the tab "Home" with the content RSS Portlet. You can create your own tab or you can place it on the "Home" tab. To place it: select the "Hello World Portlet" from the list by "Add portlets" and click "Add". That's all. Now go back to "Home" (in the upper right corner) and you should see it.
