Configure Thunderbird with Egroupware

Hi,
I have a working Egroupware server and I'm able to connect with groupdav with Kontact with a very easy way.

My question is, is this possible with Thunderbird? I have read that I must install lightning plugin. But does that support groupdav? Is it easy and fast to configure like in Kontact? And if yes, does it work good?

Short answer: Not a good Idea if you have to support it.

Long answer: yes it works, but it is awkward.

It only works with SoGO connector version less than 0.94, so use 0.94
