Hi everyone,
About a month ago (I believe that I read something about it on
Twitter), I stumbled across a beautiful, innovative site featuring
inline SVG in HTML:
http://www.emacsformacosx.com/Thing is, this interesting use-case seems to have triggered a few bugs
in SVG implementations:
http://heldermagalhaes.com/blog/2009/08/emacs-triggers-svg-bugs/The blog entry was written at the time, although I ended up leaving it
in draft state. Yesterday, I noticed a post by Brad on Ajaxian:
http://ajaxian.com/archives/view-source-tutorial-fancy-web-page-using-html5-css-and-svgThis acted as a reminder to publish the blog entry, as there's no
value in delaying it more. I was initially intending to attach bugs in
implementations about the issues before publish, but I'm realizing
that this can be sometimes be a burden (make sure that it's not
already reported, create a reduced test case, etc). As I've noticed
few implementers watching this mailing list, I though like it could be
good to post something here to avoid this getting lost in my TODO
list. :-)
I'm also sending this message to David Caldwell, the site creator, so
he can follow this thread (and/or the blog post). Keep up the good
work, David! ;-)
Cheers,
Helder
