If I want to get the latest version of Facelets (1.1.14), I have to specify:

<repository>
<id>java.net</id>
<url>http://download.java.net/maven/1/</url>
<layout>legacy</layout>
</repository>

Central has 1.10, so it seems like it should be easy enough to get 1.1.14 added.
