Can anyone help? I heard 3 or 4 crickets stridulating on the scarp slope of Truleigh Hill. today at about 11.00am.  These seem very early and I'm not sure what species they would be.  It seemed that they were calling from open grass areas and brambles but I couldn't anywhere near them before they stopped.  The noise was best described as a continuous loud watch being wound up fairly slowly.  Anyone got any ideas what they might have been?

Thanks
Tony Wilson
