Cropped reply to newsgroup not possible?

Dear QuickQuote list,

If I want to reply to just one line of a newsgroup post, the reply is
automatically addressed to the poster's e-mail address only, not to the
newsgroup.

Should I consider this a bug? Would someone care to fix it?
