<br>things), a land-owner can set a "parcel media" URL which is the URL to a
<br>streaming media server that will play on any local object that displays
<br>a certain texture.
<br><br>The plugin API extends that to allow for custom plugins to run, but only
<br>in the context of the parcel media URL texture.
<br><br>I can imagine many cases where a media plugin served from localhost
<br>might be useful. It should be possible to specify localhost as a valid
<br>url for media-on-a-prim (HUD at least) that is settable separately from,
<br>or as an alternative to, the parcel media URL.
<br>IOW, if I install a custom HUD with a localhost url as the parcel media
<br>url, I should be able to interact with a private plugin
<br>running/streaming on my own comp.

</div>The croquet sdk has been abandoned. All work is now being done<br>
in cobalt.<br>

It's look like a temporary technical pause, connected with the new
approaches to come up, like: full closures support, Cog VM, use Alien
interface insted of FFI, pure Tweak home base image, not taking into
account the full Tea time support and COLA architecture. <br>
It is true, that some of the core Croquet developers are now at Qwaq,
but they assure about open standards, that "Qwaq Forums is built upon
the Croquet platform", it could means only that they still continue
developing Croquet SDK, even being close sourced.<br>
Clarification in that is meaningful to any application or SDK being
developed in Croquet SDK, and even more to Open Cobalt project, which
has already some code refactoring and new features. It could help to
avoid extra work on core parts, which then could be not easy to
integrate into the new version of Croquet, (if it will be of course),
like Jasmine to Hedgehog transition with a lot of unported stuff till
now.<br>

<br>When the second participant starts (CobaltMaster #setup), the virtual
<br>machine crashed in OpenAL (OpenAL #alGetListenerf:).
<br><br>Is there a way to test Cobalt with 2 participants or 2 windows/morphs on
<br>the same machine?
<br><br>Hint: in Croquet is works by starting one CroquetMaster and one
<br>CroquetParticipart and looking that they communicate together.
