When we try to do anything as the user running CruiseControl we get
fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
very often. We can see in /proc/<cruisecontrol pid>/tasks that CruiseControl have over 1000 threads, such that Linux blocks for new process creation.

We are running with threads count=3.

Hello,
there is little bit more detailed description about the patches. The basic idea is that XMLConfigManager causes re-read of files registered in its nested Resolver class. To update the properties when a property file changes, the file must me monitored by the Resolver instance. The solution, nevertheless, is quite general, as it allows to handle basically any file accessed through FileResolver instance.

The patch consists of two classes:

FileResolver.java:
- defines interface FileResolver, very similar to XmlResolver. For the given file path it returns stream from which the content of the file will be read
- the implementation stores the file path to detect changes in it (see further)

ResolverUser.java:
- defines interface ResolverUser; that plugin classes implementing this interface will be filled by the instance of FileResolver shortly after they are instantiated (see further), so all the files get through the interface are watched for changes

- if you can suggest a better name for the interface, it can simply be refactored

And it changes the following parts of CruiseControl:

XMLConfigManager.java
- Resolver class implements FileResolver interface; it adds the file to the list of resolved files and returns InputStream to read the content from.
- very easy.

ProjectXMLHelper.java
- mostly trivial changes
- holds FileResolver instance (set through the extended ProjectXMLHelper constructor) which is passed to the instantiated plugins
- when the instance of a plugin is created (by getConfiguredPlugin(...) method), it checks if the instance implements ResolverUser, and if so, it registers the FileResolver in the plugin
- due to the extension of ProjectXMLHelper constructor, signatures of affected methods were extended accordingly

CruiseControlConfig.java
- trivial changes due to changes of ProjectXMLHelper
- holds FileResolver instance, just like XmlResolver (both are set through the extended CruiseControlConfig constructor)
- the FileResolver is passed to appropriate methods ProjectXMLHelper instance hold by this class

DefaultPropertiesPlugin.java
- implements ResolverUser interface and hold the instance of FileResolver set through it
- the content of file (holding the properties to read) is get through FileResolver instance (instead of direct use of FileReader)

CruiseControlConfigIncludeTest.java
- just trivial changes due to CruiseControlConfig method signature changes
- implements empty FileResolver, which is required for correct build, but it throws exception everytime called (I think it is not used anywhere in the tests now, but I will fix it if required)

My Test Results do not show up when I click on "Test Results" button

Hello All,

I have a project that runs a series of NUnit tests during and after the compilation of one of my projects. If I look at the log file for the project's build I see all of the xml files from my test have been merged. However, when I click on the "Test Results" button at the top of the projects build status I do not see any of the test. I am suspicious that the problem probably has something to do with XML XSLT, but I do not claim to be proficient at either one. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can narrow down the possible problems causing the unit tests not to display in the webapp? I am using CC 2.8.2.
