DNC Hydrography Labels with VPFLayer

Hello,

I am using  OpenMap's VPFLayer to draw the DNC vector maps and am having a little trouble. Specifically, I can get the hydrography lines to draw but I can't seem to find any way of labeling the lines with the depths they represent. Is there a way to show the depths of these lines?
