Hi,

Some E-mail addresses are being returned with DNS Lookup failure, but those addresses work when sent from gmail or hotmail or yahoo

How can I disable DNS Lookup on the OUTBOUND Courier ESMTP Server?

Alexander

Why don't you fix the DNS lookup? ESMTP server needs to figure out
the receiving mail server through DNS MX/A records.

Please show us an example of sender address, recipient address(es) and
message header.

how do you want to deliver mail to a domain when DNS does not work for the
domain?

Hi Alexander,

It's always best to run a mailserver (or any app which needs to do
freqent DNS lookups) with a local DNS server to reduce load on your main
DNS server and keep the DNS caching local and fast.

A possible gotcha here is you might need to forward requests for
internal addresses/local domains to your main DNS server if needed -
otherwise you may find internal addresses it needs to resolve either
returning one of your external IPs or not resolving at all.

Thanks,
-Oli

Thanks to you all. It works perfectly now. Actually did nothing, just
started working. A bug maybe?
