DVB-T device not detected / KDE4, FreeBSD 7.1

Hi,
my DVB-T device Hauppauge WinTV HVR 1300 is not detected in Kaffeine
0.8.7, KDE4.1, FreeBSD 7.1.
Principally card works fine here ( in Windows..) and is installed
correctly with CX88 drivers in FreeBSD, can scan channels with a cx88
console interface.

The "DVB Client" in Kaffeine shows nothing, no channel scanning options
anywhere, and when I start Kaffeine from console is gives "No DVB device
found".

What can I do?

regards

1) Check that your dvb device is at /dev/dvb/adpater0/frontend0
2) Check user privileges

There is no /dev/dvb/adpater0/frontend0,
there are 3 devices
/dev/cx88mpeg0
/dev/cx88video
/dev/cx88audio.

With command cx88 I can scan channels and capture into a file, that works.

Should I create a /dev/dvb/adpater0/frontend0 and make a link to
/dev/cx88mpeg0 ?

User privileges shouldn't be the problem as it is same when I try as root.

Looks to me like all you have atm is analogic TV.
On linux, you would "modprobe cx88-dvb".
You can post on linux-dvb ml, maybe someone could help you.
