This is the former Big Wayne e-newsletter, covering dance activities
in northern California, nationwide, and worldwide. John Bear has
taken it over from Big Wayne. New listings, corrections, comments,

This newsletter is emailed on the 15th and 30th of each month (except
this month when it is a day late, because I’m recovering from 5 days
of vigorous dancing at 7,200 feet in the Sierras, not highly

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO TEACH DANCE CLASS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
The Volunteer Center of the East Bay seeks volunteers over age 25 to
teach dance to senior citizens at Lawrence Moore Manor in Berkeley on

REALLY FINAL NOTE: The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society has asked
to be included herein. I’d love to, but I haven’t figured out how
yet, since they have more than 70 regular and special events of
various kinds in many locations. While I reflect on how to deal with
