Database not updated until reboot on Touch 2G

Hello everyone,

first off: Thank you so, so much for this library! I am so glad about
not having to boot up my Virtual Machine anymore just to start iTunes...

I am using libgpod-0.7.2 with Amarok 1.4.10 on Ubuntu 9.04 (Amarok
comes from an unofficial repository:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~bogdanb/+archive/amarok14/). It connects
well to my jailbroken iPod Touch 2G through itunnel 0.0.5 via sshfs.
All the tracks show up and I can transfer files to the iPod which are
then correctly shown in the Media view in Amarok. However, they do not
show up on the iPod itself until I restart it.

Is there a way to tell the iPod Touch to re-read the database after new
tracks have been transferred?

Regards
Jake

Cool! I usually just kill the music-browsing thing (by holding down the
menu-key.)

Would it make sense for gtkpod to do this automatically after saving the
database, or?

  Best regards,

That should probably be done by the gvfs afc backend when the file has
been updated and closed for writing.
