Default Project Settings - Global Ignores not working

Hi, I have 6.0.5. I tried setting up ignores on Default Project Settings - Global Ignores page "Use following patterns", but none of the entries are applied. What am I doing wrong?

It seems to me that I Explorer integration must be installed in order to have ignores working, because first I didn't had that one installed and since I've installed it ignore list is working.
