Default button behaviorIf a button has the default button attribute checked and one hits the
Enter Key or Return key the record is saved even when no short cuts are set and no action. Is this normal behavior? Re: Default button behaviorI believe so.
Historically, if I've wanted 4D to do something specific when the user hits Enter or Return, I've had to create a button for the purpose and give it the appropriate shortcut. If you don't have any shortcuts on any buttons, in my experience 4D applies the default behaviour of Enter, Return and Escape, which are set in Preferences/Application/Shortcuts. Re: Default button behaviorI don't see any Shortcut preferences for Enter, Return or Escape. I
do see where shortcuts can be set for Accept and Cancel of input forms and accept for Subforms but I don't have any shorts cuts for these set. I really only set the default button for the graphic look which form the Documentation is all it really is for. It appears there is some undocumented action that the default button has other than a graphic change. I have tried setting the text to a color to make the button more noticeable but it never has worked for me on a Mac. I have seen the color text work on Windows. I tried setting another button with a shortcut of Enter and the Default button still ran. The only form event I have set in the Default button is on clicked.
