Makes sense to me, thanks. (Of course, both need to be updated, to
accommodate GCC-4.4).
Maybe, now that we seem to have a hierarchical organisation, with
apparently arbitrary depth, another rearrangement is called for, but
I am loath to jump in, until we see just how long this latest design
might persist.
