Delays sending to email to the same domain

When sending the same email to multiple recipients at the same domain
results in a random delay for some of the recipients.

The emails are injected to the queue by our RT ticketing server.
Once injected some recipients receive the email while others will have to wait for up to 10 mins.
This is what the queue looks like after the initial injection.

currunencyremote is set to 80

Is there anything that can be done about this behavior.

What does the qmail-send logfile say?
I'd guess it is either due to some antispam strategy at the receiver side
(not more than n parallel connections from the same IP at a time) or their
server cannot handle the number of parallel connections.

Have them create a role account, deliver to that role account and
they can distribute to as many internal addresses they like.
