Hi,
I'm using 4th Dimension 2004.7 on my iMac using OS X v10.5.7.
I'm having difficulties removing an unwanted record in a TABLE.
The fields are as follows: a date field (date format), a name field
(text format), a message field (text format) and a key field (longint
format) using the sequence number command.
New records are successfully added via the input form.
But the first record is not one of the records I created.
It has 00/00/00 in the date field and 0 in the key field.
If I have, say, a total of three records in the TABLE (including the
two records I created) and I select all three records in the output
form and hit the delete key, all three records disappear from the
output form.
But the output form has "0 of 1 record" in its heading.
When I "Show All", the mysterious record appears again.
When I use my input form, the date and key field appear vacant, but
when I click on the first row, it become highlighted.
I delete it, but when I look at the output form, the "o of 1 record"
shows up again.
When I double click on the row in the output form, an alert message
appears with "This record has already been cleared."
I'm completely puzzled.
I've done something wrong, but have no idea what.
Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.
Michael.
