Deploying on Debian, anyone?

I'd like to start a Radiant site on a host that's running Debian 3.1 and
Apache.

I have a login and bash shell and am Linux savvy, but not so much with
connecting Apache to Rails. Site traffic will be VERY low for some time,
so any old thing (even WEBrick) will do, but a link to information on
getting that to run automatically at startup (although the system has been
up 111 days so far) would be most helpful.

Thanks,
Chris

The Google is my friend. Had I tried it a few moments ago, I might have
found this:

Ruby on Rails on Debian
http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/329

I'd still like other experiences, though.

Thanks,
Chris

Hey Chris

Slicehost have got a good selection of tutorials and wiki articles on
setting up a rails hosting environment including  Apache and Mongrel on
Debian

http://articles.slicehost.com/

You might also want to check out deprec for a more automated deployment,
though it is geared toward Ubuntu

http://www.deprec.org/

cheers

Dylan

I like this guide a lot:
http://blog.codahale.com/2006/06/19/time-for-a-grown-up-server-rails-mongrel-apache-capistrano-and-you/

Sean has posted a Capistrano script for deploying Radiant that uses
deprec here:
