Re: Desktop sharingHi Venu,
There is an open source implementation of desktop sharing you might want to check out. It's built in Flex, with red5, and implements the Adobe ScreenCodec. It's part of bigbluebutton: http://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/ On Wed, Nov 4, 2009 at 12:36 AM, Venugopal G <venugopal.g@...> wrote: Hi, -- Denis Zgonjanin Blindside Networks http://www.blindsidenetworks.com/ _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list Red5@... http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org |

Re: Desktop sharingI still have trouble understanding that project
licensing.
Why would somebody buy the commercial license from
smaxe when the codec is layed out in screenshare.java and released
under gnu gpl ? What means 'Complements of'?
Is anyone on the list hip to what the restrictions
are if any?

Re: Desktop sharingI think the product/license is for the RTMP library. The screenshare
codec is just an example on how to use the library. However, Adrei (Smaxe) hasn't put in an OS license on the screen share codec as suggested by Dominick on another thread. Re: Desktop sharing<http://code.google.com/p/red5-screenshare/>SVC1 is just 20 lines of code.
I will publish SVC1 code with explicit LGPL license mention on smaxe site next week. It is LGPL, you don't need to buy a license to use SVC1 codec implementation. Regards, Andrei.
