The first ever Social Performance Reporting Awards, powered by MIX, recognize the efforts of MFIs and networks to improve reporting on changes observed in microfinance clients' poverty levels, consumer protection policies and other social indicators. Networks have played an important role in promoting higher transparency about social performance among their affiliates: five networks reached 50% reporting rate for their affiliates reporting, ACCION, MFC, MFN, ASOMIF, and REDCAMIF. Socially responsible investors in microfinance are also paying closer attention to how their investees are tracking social performance.
CGAP is delighted to join with its partners, the Ford Foundation, and the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation in commending the more than 200 MFIs that have reported on Social Performance indicators.
