Distance from centers to edge of standard MOTM mounting rails?

I tried to fit it all into the subject, but to expand -

Im trying to work out how close i can fit some components on a MOTM style
module, and need to know the distance from the centers to the inner edge on
the metal rails people commonly use for the Oakely and MOTM systems.

I know there are wooden cabinates about too, but im just interested in the
metal rails for now.

I dont suppose anyone in the EU has any spare that they want to get rid of
