Documentation request: drbd backup

Hi,

the post of torsten made me think about the complexities of backing up a
running DRBD. I guess the way to go is using lvm snapshots, but how does
that work with external meta-data? Or is a backup of the metadata not
necessary? (seems unlikely)

Perhaps a chapter in the user-guide on this subject would be useful?
