DotNet/Other issues after recent update

After installing the recent update, I'm having several strange issues.  I've even re-installed the software from scratch.  This is a satelite unit, not the admin computer.  I don't seem to have a problem with the admin computer - but we're headed to camp tomorrow and want to take the database with us on my laptop!

1) When clicking on a menu option, the current screen looses focus (greyed out) - I have to hit ALT to bring up the new window.
2) Uploading database just hangs.  The window "Uploading database" - checking database status just hangs - using 98% CPU.  I left it on overnight - it never completes.

After #2, my only option is to release the database from the admin computer...

I've unloaded the A/V software and tried - still the same issues.

Windows XP, SP3, fully patched.
IE 8
AVG A/V

My install of the upgrade causes issues to not allow me to got our FTP site, and I was told by customer support that an additional License key was supposed to be supplied for DotNet. We had not had to have 2 seperate License Keys for TroopMaster and DotNet in the past.

We have had three  seperate licenses one for DotNet, one fror Troopmaster and one for Palm OS.  I believe that this has been taht way for sometime.  You can look at your FTP settings under Help>License Details>Troopmaster DotNet.  and see if a license key and expiration  was put in for your DotNet.  I suspect that you may have had 2 seperate keys.

After making no changes on my computer I suddenly gould not download the data from dot.net. It turned out to be my firewall. It worked fine the day before but for some reason i had to go into my firewall and grant permission for the troopmaster program for both inbound and outbond date. Not sure if troopmaster changed something or my firewall program did but it fixed the program.

I believe every time I apply an upgrade, I have to allow TM and DotNet through the firewall. I think this is common with all updates and firewalls. The firewall thinks this is a new program.

I am having the same issues.  However I was getting some data errors before the upgrad. Now my dot.net data is locked and the program can't find the backups I have done everytime I log off on my computer  to restore. I get the greyed out options, i get the hang up in uploading and downloading.  So now I don't have access to the data on dot.net and noone else does either because it is locked and checked out to me and I can't change it.  I called support and they said something else was scanning the data when the program was trying to compress the data but now there is a different issue. I wish I hadn't upgraded.
