Dumping old Xcode Project

We are considering dumping the old Fire.xcode project in favor of the  
Fire.xcodeproj project.  The reason is that maintaining two  
concurrent projects is a bit of trouble, and one of the devs needs to  
keep a machine with the old Xcode around to make the change.  Dumping  
the old project means that in order to build Fire, one needs to have  
Xcode 2.1 or greater (which means one needs Tiger as well).

Are there any objections to removing the old project?
