Evolution has no provision for this. Look for stand-alone tools.

I assume you mean evolution-remove-duplicates (plural) which is an
optional external plugin.

depending on which version of evo you're running you might have to
slightly modify the configure script to check for newer versions to get
it to complete configuration.

There is a plugin for evo:
http://www.gnome.org/~carlosg/stuff/evolution/remove-duplicates-plugin-0.0.4.tar.gz

You will need evolution-dev, then ./configure - make - checkinstall (or
make install)

Works here.
