Duplicate id and version properties in domain class inheritance

Hi all,

I've tried to use inheritance in domain classes and I've noticed by
reflection that the subclass has the id and version fields twice, once
inherited from the parent class, and once its own fields.
Is this something intended (I'm using Grails 1.1.1) ?
