I'm organizing a web services session at the upcoming ESIP Federation meetings at UCSB in July. See
http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/SPG_Agenda_July_7_2009 for a description.
If you think you'd like to be a presenter at this session, please let me know.
I'm looking for technical presentations that describe how things work at what might be considered the hands-on, code level as opposed to high-level overview presentations that describe things at the project or business/market level.
One area of high interest is how GEOSS is approaching web services.
At the end of the sessions, we plan to put together a summary of what we've learned, That summary will be provided to NASA Earth Science managers.
Overall meeting info is at
http://tinyurl.com/july09esip For those of you who wish to attend just the July 7 session, there's a special one-day rate of $125. Speakers' registration fees are waived if they are just coming to this session.
Note also that the OGC TC in June will be at MIT, and I'd be happy to get together with people who are interested in this topic but who might not be able to come to Santa Barbara. If there's interest, I'll find space to have a meeting.
Please forward this to others who might be interested in attending/speaking.
