Edit Music score

We have input music via MIDI from a Roland keyboard and there are a few questions.
Notice the rest at the beginning. This is because of an error of the starting beat.
What we would like to do is eliminate this and shift the whole score.

I found that I can use the Move function, but this puts the rest into the first bar.
That is OK, but how do I delete this bar altogether?
The second question is on quantize.
Notice the difference in complexity between the first bar which was edited by erasing everything and putting in the notes by hand. What I would like to do is have quantize do the work for me. Eliminate all the "fine tuning" in the score and make it SIMPLE, so that it is easy to read. I've played around with different parameters of quantize but I can't get it to output something simple like the hand edited first bar.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
